Where would I get a Nikon to e-p1 adapter?
Just google "adapter nikon micro four thirds". I bought two different adapters off eBay for my Canon EF and FD lenses. The adapters were cheap and shipping was free, and they work as advertised.

Welcome to the forum by that way!

Hi all, E_T from Singapore. I found this forum while looking for the online manual for the E-P1.

So far I find that it's a great site as I'm learning tons just by going thru the forum.

I've always been using Ultrazooms from Oly, then to Canon S3IS because I shoot as a tourist, landscape/street/food/wildlife/plants. These cameras serve me well especially the Canon. I've always shy away from DSLR due to their bulkiness but I've always wish I didn't have to PP away the noise.

Natually when Oly annouced the E-P1, I was elated. After the prices came down, I finally pick one up & here I am... trying to learn new stuff that P&S has trouble doing like bokeh, which is super-easy to achieve with the E-P1.
Canon S3IS, Oly E-P1, 14-42mm, FL-4
(Looking for Oly 14-150mm - sell me yours? ;-) )

Hi Everyone:

Just purchased an E-PL1 and found this site when I was searching for info regarding adapters for manual lenses.

Wanted to say hello and looking forward to sharing and learning from everyone!

Hey! First time poster, again.. on some other forums that give me GAS, now ive discovered another form of GAS!! My wifes seen me bring over 100 guitars into the house and watched most of them leave, now its looks like its gonna be lenses..
I was looking for a camera to take overseas next month, and had no intention of buying a DSLR or even spending much money. Travel zooms, compacts, it was down to a Lumix LX5 or Canon S95 or Lumix TZ10.
I only had a chance to try the TZ10 in store, when i saw the EPL-1 lurking on a shelf.. what got my attention was it reminded me of my dads camera in the 70's. Really cool retro action, tho now i see the EP-1 was very retro.
Well ive had it only 4 days, found this site the day i bought it, saw what guys are doing with adapters.. crazy stuff! This alone has my GAS working, or the inner nerd, buy now i need to learn how to use the damn thing!
Got the black one with 14-42 lens, and just ordered thru a buddy stateside, a pancake thru Amazon and spare battery. Need one of them cool brown leather cases now and im set for Egypt!
Cheers!

Video Issues - Flicker and Focus
« Reply #269 on: October 03, 2010, 01:24:07 PM »
Just bought and received my e-pl1 with standard lense kit on Friday.  I haven't played with it very much yet and hope to receive the Panasonic 20MM this week.  I really like the pics but am having trouble with video.  Two things keep reoccurring.  Please forgive if these are rookie mistakes, but would like to know how to correct the issues.
1.   I am getting a fair amount of video flicker when filming.
2.  The video won't focus after zooming unless I depress the photo button half way to focus.  So I am constantly depressing the photo button to focus during filming, which causes the video to stutter slightly. :(

Please let me know what I am doing wrong?!

congrats on your purchase and welcome!
Thanks man! I am enamored with this thing, i got a 17mm pancake on its way thru Amazon, and a battery. But looking thru the different lens options guys are using, got me to buy a 50mm Rikonen lens and adapter on ebay last night! Cost me 35 bucks for both, landed! I have over 20 lenses on my watch, but really know very little yet. Tho im a quick catcher-on.. Will scour thru posts to find the good stuff on my camera, having three weeks till im in the Pyramids of Cairo, i better learn fast how to use this thing!

az check out what people are doing with pentax 110 lenses , these were miniature slr lenses for a tiny slr using 110 cartrage film in the 1980s , a 18mm 24mm nd 50mm all 2.8 will fit in your hand together!

adapters are readily avilable , downside  they are 2.8 nly so you will need a nd filter , , but i usw them without one, they are tiny cheap and pretty good optically and a blast to use if you like funky retro camera action 8)

they also made a 70mm 2.8 and a 20-40 zoom 2.8-2.8;

one interesting thing about 110 is the film frame size and the sensor for m4\3 are almost identical in size
cooincidentally , making them better size matched
[ image circle wise]for micro 4\3 than any other vintage lenses
