1. Focal Length multiplier does not in fact mean the same thing as crop factor.

LoL I find this weird because most Nikon DSLR owners (myself included) will probably tell you that Nikon point-and-shoots are sub-standard.

On the Nikon forum that I belong to, quite a few Nikon DSLR owners have the Canon S90 as their point-and-shoot..

"2. A faster memory card will improve the performance of your camera."

(Not unlike the misleading pitch by gas companies to make you believe that their premium gas gives the best performance.)

Give them that as a half truth at least. Running into the buffer limit is rather annoying for me, so faster cards really do help there, assuming the body is up to it.
Cameras big and small: Sony HX9V, Olympus E-P1, Canon 300D (IR mod), 7D and many others!

Distortion is a digital sensor only thing..
More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

37: Digital saves you time compared to film.

(No it doesn’t - if you shoot film you’re careful in what you shoot, so out of a roll of 12 shots on 120, you’ve probably got 6-9 good ones, already chosen. On digital, the typical overspecified dSLR shooter probably shot 500 shots within the same space of time, mostly identical, and will then spend the next few days or evenings sorting them out, picking a few to post-process, giving up, archiving the whole lot to DVD, failing to tag any of them, and five years later when one of those shots might need to be referred to, there’s no hope of ever finding them again among all the other almost similarly named DSC-1234 files. Digital encourages deferred editing, and the workload often proves too high.)

Maybe they do now — the new Coolpix 7000 looks quite desirable. I’d go for one if I didn’t have the Pen.

Digital is better than film.
Or the converse: "Digital is not as good as film."
