Here is mine again.  I received the pancake as a gift.  Really like the size of it.  I wish that there was a black option.  Thought I would add a little flair and put on this focus ring from a $9 pentax camera I got.  To focus feels very nice and I dig the black accent on it.

Looks great w/the focus grip... how is it attached?

It isn't permanently attached.  It is just hugging the lens.  Doesn't slip that much at all, but I'd like a better condition ring to secure better.  There is also a slightly wider one for the pentax 50mm 1.4.  It has four rows instead of the three rows shown on this ring.

I slid the 3-pronged ring to the base of the lens.  If fits perfectly.  Now to just find a 4-prong ring for the focus and the whole lens will be black and imo sharp-looking.

So the wife let me get an early 30th birthday present, and here it is, my first DSLR.  Just unboxed, but can't wait to start playing with it.  Now I just got to find a strap and I'm set!  I'm new to the lenses thing as well, but would love to get a fisheye lens.  Any recommendations and price ranges?

Congrats! My 30th is coming up soon too... what should I ask for?

May I ask, what is the Pen book in the picture, did this come with the camera?

The book is an Olympus PEN 活躍ガイド mook (magazine book) or simple in depth guide with pictures on how to use the camera.
It was a seperate purchase.  First DSLR so I picked it up along with the camera.
The  twins let kit in Japan comes with the camera, 2 lens, as well as the view finder included.

My Italian leather strap just arrived from Luigi at leicatime.com.  I like it a lot.  I hope he will do his own leather cover/case for the e-p1.

Is that adjustable on both sides or just one.

90 mm leica elmar-c cost me £130 on eBay and it's a stunning, razor sharp lens....highly reccommended!

Bargains are there if you look for them, leica c lenses ...28 f2.8, 40 f2.0 and 90 f4.0 were originally meant for the leica CL model but work fantastically well on the E-P1

It is only adjustable on one side.  The guy Luigi will make them specifically to your specs.  Some wanted just one specific length.  I'm looking forward to his case for the E-p1.

Lovely photos and looks like a great body-lens combination.  Have you considered removing the triangular ring for your wrist strap?  Not sure if it is offering you some additional benefit.

Thanks, I just ordered one.  Did you remove the triangle "strap holders" on the E-P1 to attach Luig's strap?

Yes I did.  The loop rings he provides on the strap serve the same purpose as the triangular rings that come on the e-p1.  What size did you get?  I got the smallest one and it seems great so far.  The slightly wider one wouldn't hurt for carrying the e-p1 with heavy lenses attached.

That should work nicely!  Be sure to post a pic here when you attach it to your e-p1.

Yes, I have.  I went to take them off when I first got the camera, but at the time, it seemed I would certainly scratch the heck out of the eyelet holders, but I may try again soon.
