Although I never had an adapter, I would definitely like to pick up an Olympus 17.5-45mm. That lens just intrigues me and I would love to get it.

Although I think the Olympus 40-150mm would be the best choice on it.

for af ..........it would be the 17 oly 2.8

for manual focus its a toss up between the voigtlander 50 1.5AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THE PENTAX 110 18MM 2.8

the tiny 18 is a sweet little lens that is nice and sharp with good depth of field, i also love my little 15 mm voigtlander, with astounding depth of field

None of those are standard Four Thirds mount lenses though...

Do the opposite of everyone else....buy lenses..... then get a camera body!

I am used to this for quite a while.

I would love a fast focusing, CD AF-compatible Olympus ZD 14-54MM F/2.8-3.5 II. Or a Sigma 18-50MM F/2.8 EX DC MACRO on m4/3.

Getting back to the topic, my favourite is the 50mm/2 macro. Focus hunts, but is still faster than manual and very accurate. Sharpness is excellent.

No, balance is ok. It's about 15mm longer and 10mm thicker than the Pany 14-45mm.

I really like the quality of the pictures taken with my Panasonic 20mm. It also force me to be creative when composing a shot since it is a prime. It also adds very little to the camera's small profile.

I hear this almost too much, Panasonic definitely did something right with this lens, probably why they can get away with charging $450 for it.

Indeed. What helped sway me were the unreal reviews on Amazon: I don't recall anything else that received almost all 5 stars, with a couple of 4 stars...and nothing below that! No haters, gripers, or anyone with anything bad to say about the lens! On top of that were the blogs from pro and semi pro photographers all extolling the virtues of the lens (with one photog gushing how his E-P2/20mm blew away his $3500 Nikon D3/50mm f/1.8 for image quality).

I'm trying to figure out my next lens for my e-p1. I'm looking at the Olympus 40-150mm - I think I need an adapter - would the adapter be the mmf-1? Is there an adapter for Nikon-to-ep1? Thanks for the info.

I'll Chime in......Panny 20mm.
Sharp and clear in almost all conditions, and makes me better at getting the picture.
I also have the 14-42 kit lens and 40-150 ED and have just started using an FD Canon 50mm 1.8 from my old film camera. I received the adapter this week, and it works great.

I just received my FD-m4/3 adapter as well and it is wonderful! Lucky for me I kept my 50mm FD lens when I sold my A-1 years ago. It's so nice to have aperture control, as well as a distance scale and DOF markers. And the manual focus is so much nice. Now I can get rid of that clumsy 50mm EF lens.
