Of course not just Micro Four Thirds lenses, but any lens that you use on your Micro Four Thirds camera.

MM let me see
The oly kit zoom.
50mm collapsable industar
Jupiter 8
55mm Cosina (m42)
28mm Hoya (m42)
135mm T mount
35mm T mount
50mm 1.8 Fd
28mm 2.8 Fd
35-70 Fd
70-210mm Fd
28-70mm Sigma (Fd)

On the way a 500mm mirror.

Most of them I had lying around and so bought mounts for them. I think I will get the Panasonic 20mm in a couple of months. Other than that I rather fancy the 9-18mm. Something like a nice light 70mm prime and a 12mm prime would be nice.

I tag the make of lens I shot with E-P2 in iPhoto metadata.
Smart albums easily group them to have the following list.

Gareth,

How did you actually managed to create smart album which groups by make of lens?

I tried to make one with no success. I can create smart album with ie. aperture or camera model but I can't find make of lens anywhere.

Thanks!

Hi Ville,

The Keyword feature in iPhoto permits people to preset keyword tags with or without keystroke shortcuts.
Each preset tag becomes a keyword button in Keyword panel.
I assign make of each of my lenses collection to its respective tag.
For example, "O 14-42 kit" stands for Olympus MZD 14-42mm f3.5-5.6.
When I have imported a full day worth of photos taken with PEN, the next step of my work flow routines is to assign the make of lens tags and special personal tags (e.g. food, cats, etc) to the photos.
My fresh recent memory and EXIF data help.

I create "Smart Album" in iPhoto, utilizing its built-in arguments to make "automatic" album.
The camera make in EXIF is one of the preset argument.
For lens tabulation, I use the full name of the lens as smart album names.
I then specify "Keyword" contains the keyword tag of the lens, e.g. "O 14-42 kit", which actually appears in a dropped menu already.
The Smart Album automatically groups all the photos taken with the lens.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the replyl Gareth!

So basicly one got add tags manually to one/multiple photo(s).

ExposurePlot is nice and handy Windows software for exif statistics for multiple photos but annoingly and for some unknown reason for me I can't sort my shots by lens make  >:(. Lens make should be included to exif data, atleast Olympus Viever can read lens make for each photo.

Just got a new one... Konica Hexanon 57mm 1.4

Unfortunately I cant try it for the moment because the adapter is taking a long time to arrive...

I've notice that in the lens archive there's no photos with this lens, so I'll put some as soon a I have the whole package!

- 14-42 MFT kit lens

- 11-22 Zuiko 4/3 (a great, great lens. On my EP-1 most the time)

- 40-150 Zuiko 4/3

I prefer the 4/3 lens.  Heavier but better made and with better optics.
