Voigtlander Heliar 75mm f/2.5 Lens Samples *****
« on: May 29, 2010, 09:26:49 AM »
Very nice lens on the E-P2 if you can hold it steady enough to get a sharp focus when image is maginifed.  Purchased for predominate use on M8.  ISO 1000 1/60, (really too slow a shutter speed for this F/L), approx. f 2.8, processed in LR2.6.

Very nice photo, what ISO is that though? Doesn't look too pleasing on the E-P2.

ISO 1000.  Not my favorite shot of our son but still a good example of the Heliar 75 on the E-P2.

Yet another shot using the Heliar 75mm on my E-P2 from one of my favorite vantage points - the porch shooting the silly Minni Mouse plant pot.  Regardless, I thought I'd share this shot because the lens was wide open at 2.5.  I used a monopod, a Leki Walking Stick,  for steadiness.  Strange reflection on the spritzer, definitely not from PP.  ISO320, f2.5, 1/1000 of a sec. Processed in LR 2.7 and CS4 for posting.

Thanks for the comments.  Because of the 2X crop factor it becomes a 150mm FoV 35mm equiv.  There's quite a bit of shake when using the focus magnification.  A fun lens to leave on the E-P2.  It forces a different mind set when looking for images and compositions.

Here it is.  I leave a B+W 486 IR cut filter and a brass Milich coding adapter, (Leica screw mount to M mount), on the lens before I mount up the "M mount to M4/3s adapter".  They don't seem to cause any problems. :)
