An absolutely incredible lens. Amazing sharpness in details, even wiiiide open at 1.8. Bokeh is silky smooth, and hotspots are creamy and even.

Some defocus.

That one was not only a defocus test, but a manual focus test. My kid was waving that stick at me and I tried to mf on the tip. Let me just say he was not holding it still for me. I missed, but only just slightly. I never would have got that shot with auto focus. Especially on the E-P1.

Jeremy was spot-on about this lens - it was made for the E-P family 40 years too soon

The logic makes sense - of all the adapted glass I've tried up to now this is the first that was originally designed to direct all the light energy into a smaller format (half frame)

Little left bouncing around the light chamber or wasted on the black walls, as is the case with a full frame 35mm.

I love it....
(this is a full size crop with some minor contrast adjustments because I wasn't really paying enough heed when I snapped it - absolutely no sharpness filter applied)
