All those pictures are taken at f1.4, in natural light, without tripod except if otherwise specified.

Camera posed with an aperture of f1:8.

Wow.

I ducked when I strolled down to see the 2nd picture.
The two big sharp eyes seemed pop to me.

What's the shortest focusing distance of the lens?
The shots are all really close for a 40mm.

Great shots.

I don't have the lens on me, but I think the shortest distance is about 45cm.

The colors are sure contrasty on this lens. How big is it on the E-P1?

I will post soon a picture of the lens attached to the body. The lens is smaller than the Zuiko's 14-42 crappy zoom lens (thinner and as long as the 14-42 when locked).

Here is a picture I took in bad conditions (I was shooting in a Flea market and the seller of this machine wasn't really enthusiastic about photographer taking picture of his stocks) so the focus, framing and camera position are bad.

The important part is this 1:1 cropping that shows the "blurry" effect you get with this lens set at 1:1.4 when your are taking a subject at a distance bigger than 1.5 meter:

I think the first one is very good with the blur background.  Colour is nice too.

This lens should be used with a Pen F adapter, not OM, these are different systems.
All adapters for OM will be equally thick, since they have to keep the legacy lens at a predefined distance from the sensor.
So you are not going to find a skinny OM adapter, because it will just not work!

I love the 40mm f1.4  ;D

I just can't wrench it off the E-P2 or GI when I go out - taken during a coffee break at work:
