Hm, I think I see some ghosting at wide open, bu that quickly disapears at F/2.8 and even at F/2!

Yeah, quite a lot of ghosting wide open. But it's really great from 2.8. This is one of my favourite FD lenses.

Did it ghost when used on a film SLR?

How light is it? Looks pretty big on the E-P1, too bad about the ghosting wide open.

Not sure if the ghosting is visible on a fullframe camera. I'll try that on my 5D.

Do you have the original FD-to-EOS adapter made by Canon?
An interim lens must be used on the adapter and I do not have faith on those 3rd party ones.

One of the explanations for this type of ghosting was that silicon sensors are more reflective than film, thus more light is reflected forward and bounced backward by unproperly coated glass. The idea is that these lenses should not ghost alltogether when used with film cameras. I wonder if this is true, but I don't have an analogue SLR on which to test my AUTO REVUENON.

I did a quick test with my 5D. I have an adapter without glass wich alows me to focus up to about 30cm (~12inch).
I don't see any ghosting in f/1.8 and f/2.8

So it could be the reflecting sensor of the PEN.

Very interesting. I will try to stop down the lens from behind when I have the time. It might be the extra image circle that causes trouble.
