Do you really think it distorts the image?
Of course it will be enormous - it's a very agressive retrofocus design.

There's a bit of barrel distortion from the wide angle, but not as much as I had expected in a lens that wide.

Now I see the table leg is slightly curved. I didn't pay attention before.
